We digitalize your production!

Making the leap to Industry 4.0 means intensively using production data and interconnecting machines – all of which is summed up by the term Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). In order to collect data and gather, analyze, and transfer information from machines, tools, measuring instruments, and production workers, we developed toii® - a platform that enables you to generate added value on your shop floor.

In addition to collecting and exchanging production data, toii® enables the automation of many production processes and the connection of your machinery to the manufacturing execution system, intralogistics, or an enterprise resource planning system.

  • Optimize your machine utilization.
  • Consolidate resources and plan their utilization within the value chain.
  • Keep an eye on the status, progress, and performance of your production at all times.
  • Anticipate imminent machine failures with predictive maintenance.

Make your production more efficient – with toii®!

When is it worth it to upgrade your production with digital solutions? How are your machines networked as part of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)? What added value can you expect and how are your direct and indirect gains in efficiency quantified? We are happy to answer these and other questions during a no-obligation consultation.

After many years of experience in digitalizing processes at thyssenkrupp Materials Services, there is one insight we can already share with you: Industrial processes can nearly always be digitalized and networked. And it’s worth it.

The possibilities are virtually endless. We have developed both manual and automated methods for digitally capturing manufacturing processes. They allow us to collect production-related utilization data, create correlations with measuring results, and digitally map the properties and quality of the production results.

We can also quantify the expected gains in efficiency together with you in advance and perform a cost-benefit analysis in order to determine whether it’s worth it.

But how does it actually work? It’s quite simple: Our IIoT specialists take over the task of digitalizing your value chain for you. Production data is collected via “thing connectors” – each “thing” being a networked part, such as a machine, a measuring instrument, or an input device – connected to the toii® platform via the toii®.Collect module.

The connectors collect the desired information at each “thing” and send it via toii®.Collect directly to toii®, where they are prepared according to individual requirements, further processed by other toii® modules, or visualized close to the production line with the toii®.Fusion module.

We would be happy to assist you in planning the connection and the implementation of the necessary hardware. Working together with you, we will develop a scenario with clear time frames and targets based on your needs and our professional expertise.

Once the system is implemented, operation is automated. The production data flow is transferred to the platform via the toii®.Collect module. Simple data processing already takes place at this stage, such as the filtering of duplicate sets of information before storage or the recognition of threshold values. From this point, the data from other toii® modules can be used for further processing in third-party systems.

The toii®.Control software module is responsible for interconnecting and integrating all means of production, such as machines, units, sensors, and equipment (“things”). The module is implemented individually and adapted to your processes and machines. The module can transfer real-time data directly to the downstream machines, allowing machines to be seamlessly linked. The toii®.Integrator module can also be used to integrate external systems, such as an enterprise resource planning system (ERP) or a manufacturing execution system (MES).

The module for manually collecting production data is called toii®.PDC. Production workers can use it to enter machine and production data and receive external, production-related information at the same time. For example, the production worker can report disruptions or downtime causes and is then shown the relevant production plan.

The toii®.Fusion software module visualizes the collected data and uses it to calculate the KPIs in various flexible displays. The dashboards can be adapted to the individual needs of the customer. For example, they can be used in daily meetings to review production performance, to aid in production planning, or to inform the management. The collected data are also stored in the database solution contained in the software product. The database storage time can be individually configured.

Our tip

Get on board faster with IIoT

toii®.Lights is a package that combines the toii®.Collect and toii®.Fusion modules with a special toii®.PDC feature, providing a lightweight and rapid solution for getting started with machine data collection. The information input and output on the machine is carried out by the specially designed toii®.Lights hardware consisting of the toii®.Lights box and compatible stack (Andon) lights.
